Join us for Afro Medellín, a five-day community immersion experience designed for Black travelers seeking meaningful connections with the global African diaspora. From February 4–8, 2027, you'll experience Medellín through the people who call it home—connecting with Afro-Colombian community leaders, artists, entrepreneurs, and organizations while celebrating Black culture, sharing meals, and building lasting relationships.

Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy A $300 USD non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space on the Afro Medellín 2027 group trip. The remaining balance will be divided into equal monthly payments, with final payment due January 4, 2027. Travelers may pay off their balance early at any time. All payments made to Origin + Culture are non-refundable, including the deposit. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, unused services, late arrivals, or early departures. Reservations may be transferred to another traveler up to 45 days before departure, subject to Origin + Culture's approval. If Origin + Culture cancels the trip due to insufficient participation or other operational reasons, travelers may choose either a full refund or transfer their payments to a future Origin + Culture experience. Travel insurance with medical coverage is required for all participants. Travelers are responsible for obtaining a valid passport (minimum six months' validity beyond travel dates), meeting all Colombian entry requirements, and waiting to purchase airfare until the trip is confirmed. We recommend arriving at MDE Airport by 3:00 PM on February 4, 2027. Room categories are selected during booking and are subject to availability. Shared room pricing is available only for travelers booking together; Origin + Culture does not assign roommates. This is an active experience that includes daily walking, hills, and stairs. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate accessibility and dietary needs when notified in advance. Participants must be 18 years or older, sign a liability waiver, and are responsible for their personal belongings. Professional photography will be taken during the trip and may be used for promotional purposes; travelers may opt out before departure. Origin + Culture reserves the right to modify the itinerary, substitute activities, or adjust accommodations when necessary due to weather, safety, community needs, or other unforeseen circumstances. Origin + Culture is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or additional expenses resulting from airlines, weather, government actions, strikes, or other events beyond our control. Our experiences are built on mutual respect, curiosity, and authentic cultural exchange. We reserve the right to remove, without refund, any participant whose behavior compromises the safety, dignity, or experience of fellow travelers, community partners, staff, or local residents.
