Black Joy Parade
Since its inception in 2019, the Black Joy Parade has graced the streets of Medellin, a vibrant celebration of the Black diaspora and our shared heritage. This unique event, infused with the rhythms of music and dance, pays heartfelt tribute to the "bunde," a cherished tradition hailing from the Black Pacific coast.
Prior to the parade, visitors will savor the chance to partake in viche, an Afro-Colombian elixir with roots in sugar cane. Furthermore, our guests will have the opportunity to support Black-owned brands, thereby contributing to the burgeoning Black economy of Medellin.
Black on Black Diaspora Party
Our Black on Black Diaspora Party is a space to celebrate the diverse African diaspora that converges in Medellín and throughout Colombia. This event provides a safe and welcoming environment for people to unite and honor the culture, all while making a positive impact on the local Black community.
Each event is curated to showcase and support the incredible work of local artists, DJs, dancers, and brands, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for all. Attire is all Black.
