About the event
Every December 8th, Colombians get together in community to light candles in gratitude of the old year and with well wishes for the new year. This December 8th, join Esmeraldas de la Selva, Negro Fest, and Origin + Culture as we gather in gratitude, hope, and graet vibes! Join us and the rest of our community on our party chiva (bus) for an hour and a half journey through the city as we play Afrobeats, Afro-Colombian Exotico, and Chirimia. We will be dropped off at at the Lumiere party where we will be received with a welcome drink and have an opportunity to connect with a broader community. The rest of the night will include various Afro Colombian DJs and performers. We will also have a moment of pause where we will light our candles and make our wishes to the new year.
